I have thought about forming this society here in Toledo, Ohio for a few years now. I’ve finally made the decision to form it have have selected two other dedicated parrot owners to help me in making this society a strong foundation for education, information, and fun. We are getting a great response for our ad in the newspaper. Those in which I’m talking to who are calling sound very excited about the opportunity to meet, learn, and share. I know the phone conversations have been fun, informational, exciting in regards to our first meeting.
3 more weeks until our first meeting!
Thank you for starting a Bird Club in the area for people to interact with other bird enthusiasts, and educate themselves and others on proper care. Thank you again for inviting us to the meetings also.

Best of luck to you Lara! If I lived closer, you know I’d be there! With your knowledge, expertise and dedication, I am confident that this will be the most educational bird group/society around. For those of you who don’t know Lara, you’ll love her, her ideas, her compassion and commitment to these mangificent feathered gems. Have fun!
